With all the hype about Indoor Trials, I found it interesting to see this pic from around 1984 of an event in Ontario - this was back in the day, when Stan Bakgaard had the vision to promote  Trials across Canada, at Motorcycle Shows, being the first to really do a Professional  job, getting our little known sport to the public. - Stan had already spent a number of years on the World circuit, riding World Rounds, the Scottish Six Days, and the famous English “Kickstart TV Trial” -

Stan designed and built all the obstacles, towing a trailer behind his Motor home. - Was it worth it? Well you would have to ask Stan, but having been involved with the project on a small scale,  helping out with announcing at places like BC Place and the Kelowna - Calgary events etc. - I can tell you this  - They were fun times, done on a shoe-string budget “For Love of the Sport” - So Hats off today to “Stan the Man” ( We hope he is enjoying his winter vacation in Mexico)

Here is another shot from that show in Ontario - Jamie McGregor.

It would be interesting to know just how many riders, “Got the bug” by attending any of these Stan Bakgaard shows - even then the obstacles were huge - Remember Stan’s Scaffold Tower section?

While we have our WTC and Outlaw Series Calendar dates picked for 2018 ( They have not yet been posted on Trials Canada) How about this for for being “On the Ball” to plant the seed, ahead of time.

I found this old Promotional page I did for Interlube International a short time ago - it’s from way back, but is still  true today - The Optimol ( Now called Opti)  is excellent, and goes back to the 1920s in Germany.  - We started selling it in 1987, and although we don’t travel anymore, we still sell it and that is what goes in all our bikes.
