Sunday was a sad day for the hundreds of people who packed the Vernon Lodge to say goodbye to Gloria Miller.  - Known affectionately  as ‘G” to her close friends, she left behind wonderful memories for all who met her

I was lucky enough to meet G, when she decided she would like a Trials bike, and spent time with her at  Chambers Mountain , teaching her how to ride the Beta Evo 200.  - I will always remember her radiant smile and bubbly personality - she was really excited to actually have a Trials bike of her own.  - Goodbye “G”

We often talk about tire pressure on our Trials bikes, and the rubber compound has certainly improved a zillion times since we used Dunlop 4 ply back in the day. But check out the rear on Iwan Roberts TRS as he slams into the concrete step at the British Championship on Saturday. - Iwan has been unwell for a few weeks and had to retire from the event - he will be seeing a specialist this coming week. - pic courtesy Heath Brindley.

Another nice morning in the Valley and more expected for tomorrow - followed by rain on Wednesday & Thursday - which is good news because it will melt some of the snow.  - We have heard from Dale in Summerland, and there is still a ton of snow up around the “Bird-Bath” - We will monitor the situation over the next couple of weeks with regard to the Easter weekend.

As expected, the used TRS 280 in Alberta didn’t last long, and is now sold to Nigel Thomas from New Denver - I rode with Nigel and Tom a few (quite a few) years ago. - He hasn’t had a Trials bike for a while and is looking at getting back into it.  With fantastic Mountain riding out of his back door I’m sure he will have fun.

-  The previous owner, Mitch in Wainwright AB - has a new Beta 300 4T on order, and while he loved the TRS he wants the Beta advantage of the long range kit which is available. - His young son Bodi also has a Beta 200 with one of these kits. - Some people might remember Bodi for his trials debut winning ride at the Malakwa National last year.
Another “Born again Trials Rider”    will be stopping by this morning, to pick up a new Beta Evo - I will try and remember to take a photo.

While we have seen a lot of riders making the switch from World Trials to the more lucrative Hard Enduro scene over the past few years, here is one former top rider who is dropping down to the TR2 Class for 2018 - It will be interesting to see if he cleans up, or if the young upstarts will show him the door. - Here is a pic of Loris Gubian on the Beta, although he has now got a ride with Gas Gas.

And finally - Gotta love this shot of James Dabill in a mud section last weekend.
