Saturday turned out to be a great day up at Silver Star - the weather was perfect, and the racing exciting to watch, but while the action on the Endurocross track was thrilling - for me, the best entertainment, was seeing the kids racing on what I would term, an old English style Scrambles track. - These little stars of tomorrow, were really flying, while being urged on by a crowd of family supporters. The Dunbar lads were the big winners, but we were impressed by many of the other youngsters , including Jeremy Bonofoy.
The Hare Scramble goes today up on the Mountain, which should be good, hopefully the weather will hold. - We chatted to a lot of old friends, who stopped by our Beta Tent, with the Trials display. Chris Hrabb from Revelstoke and Ted McDowell will line up today with a host of other riders from Alberta and BC.
Check out this pic I took of one of the Dunbar lads, (Far right) smoking past a couple of lapped riders - The way some of these kids cut through the traffic was very impressive. - Congrats to Andrew Christianson and his Team for doing a fantastic job on this annual event.

An old pic from the 60’s - this track was not that far from where I lived in the UK and many of these riders would attend the Scrambles put on by our local Oswestry club.
Why do manufactures of ATV’s and 4 Wheel drive cars, insist on showing their products going through creeks and mud holes? The Enviro crowd must lap this up for their propaganda machine.

The last round of the FIM World Trials Championship goes today in Spain - but Tony Bou has already clinched the men’s title and Emma Bristow the Ladies. - Therefore the real interest is in the runner up spots - Adam Raga and Jeroni Fajardo are neck & neck in points - but Fajardo didn’t have a bike for the last event? (GG) Update : Seems Fajardo has been suspended for a year by the FIM because of a failed drug test.

They call him “Birdman” and Sean Bird has now taken his Stunt riding to another level - He is part of the Sam King Shows being put on all over Canada.

The first day of the Cord Enduro in Eastern Canada is in the books - and the Alberta ladies lead the way - Shelby Turner, Melissa Harten and Lexi Pechout.
