Answer to the Monday quiz – rider is Harry McKay at Fruitvale BC where we had a couple of Trials on Dave Griffin’s land – rider in the background is Neil Mandeville who died suddenly a few years ago he was from Summerland. ( He was also our Dentist) The day that pic was taken ( by Babsy) it was very hot +40 – and I passed out from the heat up on top of a high rocky section – cerrrash !! – got down to the Valley and lay in the creek to recover!! – Also remember Kevin Couves won that day – and Barry got a speeding ticket driving back home !!! ( Ah yes memories)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the weekend, we posted pics of Jon Kirkham picking up another TRS from us – but when we first met Jon way back – We chatted about Tea !! as He comes from Yorkshire – and because we really like Yorkshire Tea – Jon brought some back with him from the UK – If you are a Tea drinker – you should try it ( I think it’s available at some stores)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check out these results from a USA National – Ryon says it was so muddy – most riders took ‘5’ s on a lot of sections on the last lap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A reminder that Lewisport USA are hosting what looks to be a great event in February 24 on the Lombardi Ranch – they have a 20 mile loop sorted with natural sections – sounds like one that a lot of our riders might enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have been reading about a couple of UK enthusiasts who are just retiring – one in his 50’s – both chatting about how they are looking forward to this with more time to enjoy Motorcycles. – It occurred o me that there must be an awful lot of people who spend most of their life doing a job they hate – or at least get little satisfaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although I had a few years when I first came to Canada working in the Graphic arts, that were for me not the best. – Getting into the Motorcycle Industry was like a breath of fresh air – I enjoyed every day . – Yes I’ve been very lucky – but my advice to anyone would be “Always chase your dream- you only get one chance – do it”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
