Below is a pic from the 1971 ISDT – the one I was supposed to go to in the Isle of Man – but a broken leg early season ended that dream. John Kitchener sent me this – He rode a lot of Enduro and also quite a few Scottish Six Day Trials – John keeps in touch while back in the UK for an extended vacation from his home in Castlegar BC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our old friend Terry Bainbridge has been posting some neat pics from his winter holiday down South – Looks like he is having a great time. ( It’s Terry that has that really nice 2010 Beta Evo 300 for sale)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well the weather is staying really great, so I decided to fire up the new Beta Evo 200 yesterday for a ride around the back yard – even a short blast doing figure eights is good for the soul. ( No I didn’t take any pics)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most old timers will remember that Bultaco built a really good Flat Track bike -called the Astro – many of which are still racing – so the rival Spanish Ossa Factory built their own flat tracker – check out the rear sprocket on this one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are now into the “Silly Season” – so called because riders are signing new contracts etc – Beta have this new poster to attract new riders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I watched a really good Trial video on You Tube late yesterday – it was a very muddy UK Trial that showed good old fashioned sections – I can’t remember what it was called, but Dan Thorpe was in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
