Answer to the last quiz – Our own Canadian Champ – Stan Bakgaard riding a World Round in Belgium. – Stan was on a Fantic and emailed from Mexico to tell about that day at Bilstien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– – Harlow, Brett, Roger Boothroyd all got it – Roger also mentioned that local VMC member Perry Chow died recently – Perry was a club member for many years and did a ton of work for the club. our condolences to his family and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last night I watched the Formula One Race from OZ – and it was for the most part quite exciting, mainly because this year the new FIA regulations have made the cars smaller and with many updates that have really challenged the manufacturers. – things started to go haywire in qualifying when multi time world champ Max Verstappen crashed the Red Bull and had to start at the back of the grid. – Then Oscar Piastri – the local hero crashed his McLaren on the warm up lap – not what the millions of fans wanted to see. – However the first part of the race was more like the old days, lots of passing and a surprise to see the Team Ferrari cars back in the hunt. – later it became a bit boring as the Mercedes Team managed to stay out front – but meantime Verstappen had worked his way up to an incredible 6th spot at the finish. – Yes perhaps this season will see me click on more of this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
