Quiz Today – Who is the famous British rider and Industry Boss.? – I don’t expect many youngsters would know this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ==========================================<\/p>\n\n\n\n There has been a lot posted lately on the Electric bikes and while this might be exciting for some – it appears sales of these high priced ebikes -are quite small.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For me the lure of Motorcycles was always about the “Sound” – and the buzz of an ebike does absolutely nothing, to turn my crank. plus the pricing seems to be out of this world. Yes we have been approached by a number of Manufacturers to sell these, but my response has always been “No Thanks”. ( For kids Yes and we can supply these)<\/p>\n\n\n\n ==========================================<\/p>\n\n\n\n By the time many of our readers click on – today – The DL ( Dougie Lampkin) Indoor Trial at Sheffield, will likely be over – Obviously a lot of attention will be on Adam Raga – as he rides the Sherco for the first time – We just hope nobody gets hurt. ( I wonder when they will introduce wild animals into these “Shows” ) Don’t get me wrong – there is no question that the riders who choose to ride these events that feature all the stunts, are very skilled and obviously like all the attention from the spectators – my concern is when these events are advertised as “Trials” – -As has been proved in the past few years – the addition of all the hopping and bopping to club trials, has done nothing to attract new riders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ==========================================<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile out in Balmy Chilliwack BC – Emily had to set up the Mojo Magazine booth with what she had, as Glen (her Dad) – was stranded because of flight cancellations and “He” had a lot of the stuff for the booth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n However, knowing Emily – she would still manage to cope and her sunny personality will shine through to the folk attending the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Christy Williams Richards<\/a> \u00b7 <\/a> \u00b7 <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n LADIES EVENT JANUARY 20-21, 2024 at ioco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Two day competition for ladies in the Junior and Intermediate classes. (There won’t be a novice line, and there may be a few sections with splits that are harder than intermediate to spice things up). There will be 7 sections ridden for 4 loops. The same loop will be ridden both days (mostly), but the sections will be new for each day. You can ride one or both days; the events are not part of a championship, and do not count for <\/a>CPTA points. Sign up each day. (Let me know if you can or can’t make it by reply… I’d like to have an idea of numbers.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Standard CPTA rules and procedures will run this event. Event will be group check scoring. Sign up at 9:30 am, riders meeting at 10am. Event entry is $20, non-member is $30. Your 2023 membership and key will still work for a bit (CPTA sign up day\/social\/BBQ on Feb 11, 2024). I am keeping an eye on snowfall for this event (heckin’ January); there will be a weather confirmation email from me for the event on Thursday Jan 18. Cross your fingers!
