Easter weekend is always a really hectic one for Motorcycle Sport in the UK – The Sid Morton Trial kicked things off – with 78 starters and 17 DNF – yes a tough day in bad weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also the Lomax Cup Trial on Easter Sunday, has been going now in Wales for longer than I can remember – I have reported earlier how that was the only National Trial I ever competed in. – but here is a pic I took one year of Multi-time winner Sammy Miller on one of the difficult sections called “Heartbreak Hill” it had 3 subsections as I recall, very steep. and yes I remember I “Fived” one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a visit from buddy Gerry yesterday – he is heading to Naramata this weekend to ride his first ever Trial – we chatted about what he might expect, but likely the best advice I gave him was about walking the sections so he knew which way to go – the trials these days in Canada, have quite a few classes, all following different lines so it’s very important to study these before riding – going the wrong side of a colored marker means a “5” – and we have seen this happen a lot. – If you see Gerry say Hi!! . – As we have said more than once – for newcomers to the sport that first event is often either a “Maker” or a “breaker” and if they don’t enjoy themselves they rarely come back. – Below is Gerry out practicing with us – Good luck buddy!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
