Was riding half decent early then was my turn for some bad luck. Tire off the rIm. Tom,Filipe, Ollie all helped me get it back on. Then rushing to catch up and not walking the sections properly. Then the tire came off again. Thanks to my new best friend Tony for helping me with it but we could not get it back on. Thanks to Ross Galloway for his mouse and another lad for some C02. Anyway had to tie the f-ing tire to the rim and punch the last group. But got it home. I totally agree with proper no-stop observing and easier sections after watching the 2026 videos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I won the 1982 SSDT on 105 marks, which remains the highest winning event score on record for a top level trials rider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Back then, all the best in the world entered the event and it was about an additional 200 miles longer over the week. There were no x-trial style waterfalls, and very strict no-stop observing applied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I remember difficult sections, but nothing that was dangerous with ropes to catch participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, many bike parts were marked and controlled leaving few parts changeable.
