I took the picture above from our back deck early Monday morning, which appears to show more fires starting over on the west side of Lake Okanagan – that is Swan lake and Hwy 97 in the foreground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although things were calm early in the day, the winds got up later, so we don’t know just how things are looking out West.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have had a lot of kind people and customers, from all over, emailing to see if Babsy and myself were OK – at this extremely difficult time with the current fire situation. – To all our bloggers, I thankyou for your concern, and pleased to say that although I had a couple of sleepless nights – the fire danger stayed on the far side of the lake. – We are not sure if the fire hit ‘The Valley of the Sun” which is of course where our buddy Roy lives – phones are down so we have no contact – they have been through this before, so maybe used to getting evacuated,.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
