Gilles Burgat and Charles Coutard – Brett was in first, followed by Harlow & Pete Varey. and Stan – Brett had all kinds of info on the SWM which like so many other small factories, fell by the wayside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is a great shot by Neil Sturgeon, of Harry Hemingway, (Beta) who won the top class at the British Championship Round this past weekend. – (Go big or go home!! seems to be how it is in a lot of the trials at this level)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a nice visit yesterday with Robyn Nutt and her daughter who were in Vernon – we chatted about her Dad – Murray Nutt, an old friend and riding buddy from back in the day, who recently died. – This was a clipping in Cycle Canada from 1969-70 – when Murray won the Western Canadian Championship Trial at Blackfoot Park in Calgary, beating out all the hot shoes from the West Coast. as you can see I took the photo.. This was just before I started competing in Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is a pic from last Sunday’s trial in Llanfillin (Wales) a nice natural section – I remember I was in what was likely the first Trial that club ever put on back in the 1950’s, managing a 2nd place finish ( I sill have the small silver cup) who knows we might have even rode that same creek section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
