Here is a great shot of Mick scrambling an Ossa back in the day. As many will recall Andrews was originally signed by the Spanish factory to ride MX, before the trials boom in Europe. – He continued riding in vintage events well into his 60’s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NEWSFLASH !!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

British Trials super star Tony Martyn is quitting Trials !! although he doesn’t give his reasons. – However, it could be because of the high cost of competing on the World stage, and perhaps lack of sponsorship money. – ( He pulled out of the last world round when his minder failed to arrive – no explanation followed) – Martyn won the World Trial 2 Championship while TRS mounted, before switching to a British sponsored Honda\/Montesa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another flashback – the 1965 Bultaco Sherpa T that changed Trials big time when Sammy Miller left the British Ariel factory to develop the lightweight Spanish machine. – I only ever remember seeing one of these “radial” head bikes- a guy by the name of Al Lindquist from Calgary had one – I wonder what happened to that?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
