Yes it’s been that long.

The weather could not have been better, with clear skies and bright sunshine as we headed out, Mike on his Factory Beta and me on the TRS Xtrack. – We took time to stop and enjoy the scenery, all very quiet except for the sound of a few birds, we had the whole Mountain to ourselves, and did not see another soul all day.

As usual the bikes worked perfectly and I was pleased to “Clean” the one long steep hillclimb, that ends with a log hop. – I did have the Go Pro on , so hope that turns out OK. –

I first did this loop, back in 1987 with Ted Pepperdine – and fell in love with the area, which became the home of the Outlaw Trial for over twenty years. – It was nice to point out all the various trails to Mike, and sections from the past, many now all overgrown.

===========================================

The FIM World Trials series is now over, with British riders claiming three titles – George Hemingway (Beta) 125 class – Jack Peace (Sherco) Trial 2 and Emma Bristow (Sherco) – a 10th and final title as she heads into retirement.
