Well it appears Jack Price is now a 4 time winner of the Scott Trial, joining Sammy Miller and Graeme Jarvis. – So a very well done to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don’t see Jon English’s name in the results !! Emma Bristow also failed to finish. I watched some You Tube video of one section which had a lot of riders in trouble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is another great Neil Sturgeon pic at the famous Orgate Splash – You can see that the #35 rider has already caught up to the #2 rider in this unique event where you often see several riders in a section at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What a great day it was in the Valley on Saturday – perfect for a ride out to the old White Elephant mine on the Westside – I’ve been up there a couple times before, but it was all new to Mike my riding buddy and chauffer !!! – This mine was started at the turn of the century and is a very long way from anywhere!! – so one can only imagine how the minors fared using mules and hand tools to dig out the gold – later during the 2nd World war – the mine was reopened and copper and other metals extracted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you can see in the pic – the whole area is yellow , an interesting day out for sure. The old miners hut is now all but gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All that is yellow and glitters – is not Gold!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
