But David Brooks also got that it was Hailwood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; As most enthusiasts know Hailwood was a brilliant road racer, and winner of more than one TT race in the Island &#8211; I saw him on the Norton in 1961 when he won three TT races and only an engine problem with the AJS stopped him winning four. -I also saw Mike in what might have been his first road race at Aintree near Liverpool ( I was there with a buddy who was racing,) I have the book &#8220;Hailwood&#8221; a YZ 125 fitted with an IT 175 engine &#8211; As usual this was all done at Walt&#8217;s shop and was an effort to have the better suspension of the YZ mated to the torque of the aircooled IT &#8211; we also fitted ours with the IT 175 gas tank as it was to be used in Cross Country races. &#8211; The bike worked really well but we blew the engine at the Moose Mountain race and then got lost in the Kamloops two day qualifier, finishing on bronze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"462\" src=\"https:\/\/outlawtrials.com\/davesblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/YZ125-175.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5551\" srcset=\"https:\/\/outlawtrials.com\/davesblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/YZ125-175.jpg 600w, https:\/\/outlawtrials.com\/davesblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/YZ125-175-300x231.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>==========================================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a NATC Trials round in Florida this weekend and TRS USA are there with a nice set up &#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"322\" src=\"https:\/\/outlawtrials.com\/davesblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/NATC-in-Florida-TRS.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5553\" srcset=\"https:\/\/outlawtrials.com\/davesblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/NATC-in-Florida-TRS.jpg 600w, https:\/\/outlawtrials.com\/davesblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/NATC-in-Florida-TRS-300x161.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Canadian Trevor Howarth &#8211;
