I mentioned the Trials Guru website last week, a very good post to check out stories about people from the Trials world – the latest one is by John Stoodley from the USA – Called “Letter from America” – it is a well written account of why he got into riding and loving the sport, explaining just what attracts so many people. – One thing he doesn’t mention, is that a great many of the riders who went on to become World Champions in other Speed events, also started their careers riding and learning their skills, at Trials. – The list is endless, but here are a few, Roger De Coster, Jeff Smith, Geoff Duke, Mike Hailwood – and more recently Billy Bolt. – John compares trials to Golf, as we often do – a ‘Thinking” man’s ( or Woman’s) -sport. – Check it out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
