The Team USA at the 1973 Scottish – sorry we don’t know how they made out – Bob Clark got the names after a 2nd guess. – Most oldtime bloggers will know the name Lane Leavitt as he was the Top USA rider for many years, and also has a book ( Which I have someplace) He is married to Debbie Evans and they both do stunt work for the movies. – The second guy Roger, I’m not familiar with, but Kirk Mayfield got a Yamaha ride via Mick Andrews and posts on FB quite often showing off his very nice TY collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Below you see the covers of the latest Trial Mags – The one for January arrived last Monday – the December issue arrived yesterday!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a very good report in the December issue, of the 1974 British Experts Trial – back then you had to qualify for this – it’s a brilliant 4 page read with lots of great black & white photo’s – but of course what made this event famous, was the fact that the organizers excluded most of the entry, for being over the time limit – the facts were, that the weather conditions in Wales ( as I can vouch for) were horrendous and with lots of river sections, drowned bikes and soaked riders were the order of the day. –<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– A couple of weeks back, we posted an article by Dougie Lampkin on the ACU – I don’t think they were very popular back in 1974 after this event either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bottom lines – Watched a very good Trials video on You Tube of the 2024 Nordic Championship – great sections, the type we used to set up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next we watched Trial Tube – with Jack Dance – he spoke very well when he got a chance – !! Danny Butler could use some coaching for that segment he does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
