As most know, this is family day – so we hope you all are able to spend time with your family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

in weather news, we had a “Snow day” on Sunday, so after doing some shoveling, I settled down and watched the Golf !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Answer to our Sunday quiz, was Bill Nicholson a great rider from the UK – correct to guess this were Neil Carter from Ontario, and Peter Legrove from Australia. ( Peter is an ex pat and about the same age as me)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is a great Neil Sturgeon shot of Trials rider Dan Peace in a UK Enduro last weekend – He obviously had the “Clean” line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Billy Bolt won the event – he seems to be a roll at the moment. ( Yes he used to ride Trials)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is a nice pic of Roger and his wife at the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame last weekend – He says it all went very well, with a lot of old friends from the Motorcycle World in attendance. Congrats from us all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not Trials – but this is a rare photograph of the very first TT race in 1911 – this is the winner, and the bike was an Indian – might have been the only time an American bike won this prestigious event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TT races began in the Isle of Man, because the British Government banned racing on Public roads. The 37 1\/3 miles Course has remained the same ever since, except for obvious road upgrades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is Sammy Miller at the Big London Motorcycle Show last weekend, he is seated on the V8 Moto Guzzi from 1956 – We saw these (two of them) race in the Island in 1957. – We were watching at Sulby Straight that day – and when Dickie Dale, and Bob Brown came past us – the front wheels would come up as they shifted gears – top speed was I believe 130mph. – What a wonderful sound and memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bike behind Sammy, looks like the Norton “Kneeler” which was raced by Ray Amm, from Australia later killed test riding a Suzuki in Japan)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s these type of machines that would make the Motorcycle Show worth going to. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Hard to believe that Sammy is now over 90 years of age)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
