Answer to the last quiz – Lindsay Baker on his Suzuki RL at a demo Barry put together at East Kelowna – As you can see by the pic – Barry didn’t get the balance point quite right, so the early riders reached the end before the thing pivoted !! I should have waited to click the shutter for that one!!! Lindsay is from new Zealand and moved to Edmonton many years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quite a few got the answer – Brett, Bob, Harlow, also Kevin Couves who rode that day on his Montesa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is an old saying that if a bike “Looks right” it likely performs well, and that could certainly be said about the BSA Gold Star – seen here in “Clubman’s” trim. – We never did own or get a ride on one of these, but it was probably the best selling model back in the 1950’s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is a blast from the past – I think this was one of the first New Bultaco’s we sold in 1999. – I delivered it to Gord Lalonde and took this pic of him trying it out on his property South West of Calgary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gord and Donna later moved to Australia, where he still rides bikes and lives on a very large 275 acre property outside Brisbane, which he calls “Dirt bike heaven”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
