Well, our Sunday went smoothly – that is laying on the couch watching more Itchy Boots videos – absolutely mind boggling some of the places she has been and the way she has put this series all together is truly awe inspiring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was interesting to see her minor issues with the Yamaha Tenere, as we were quite involved with the TT 600, from which that bike was derived from. – I remember having to go pick up a cross Canada Tour guy outside Kelowna who had a problem with his Tenere – It was an easy fix, but the problem was caused by Yamaha fitting the coil underneath the gas tank where it got overheated and eventually failed – ( An easy fix when you know the problem)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I watched some of these video clips, it reminded me of the trip Babs and myself made from Wales to the Italian Adriatic Coast !! the Norton 600 loaded with camping gear and of course no GPS in those days – just a map. – We traveled through France and Switzerland which of course was over the Alps, but we had no issues with the Norton. ( Went over the Simplon Pass one way then the St Gotthard Pass the other way – ( Now they have a tunnel) – Memories of camping in farmers fields in the high Alpine are still quite vivid- including camping on a the Mountainside above Lake Como and on the beach at Cattolica. – Although our trip was only just over 3,000 miles – not many people did that back in the early 1960’s<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our quiz yesterday showed a pic of Rob Shepard one of the top riders back in the day – a few got this one – Neil, Brett and Harlow were all on the box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
