We were up early posting the blog yesterday (4am) at 4.18am we got the first correct answer to the quiz from Brian Wood in Ontario!! – beat that Brett!! – The answer was Ontario rider Jamie McGregor with Sammy Miller. – Jamie bought a TRS Gold from us a couple of years ago, and is now waiting for another one!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I saw this posted, and thought how similar things are in Canada – bottom line is that if Trials riders don’t support the enthusiast dealers, soon there will be none. – I always remember a classis comment by Walt Healy many years ago he said ” Dirt bike riders are the nicest people in the World – but a lot of them think the dealer should pay for their Hobby”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trials motorcycle market is very small in New Zealand, because of this it is not possible to run a full time profitable business solely on Trial bikes and parts sales, so it is important that one does not get over enthusiastic and passionate and purchase stock that will never sell and then have to eventually give the stock away as has happened to many predecessors. I for one will only ever buy to order and carry enough stock that my own <\/a>immediate family will absorb over a 2 year period. “That is my low risk business plan.” Otherwise the Importer just ends up helping to finance someone else\u2019s recreational pastime and wastes a lot of his own precious time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday I went to Kelowna to deliver Opti Oil – a nice drive !! and a a sunny day – BUT coming back was a nightmare – a traffic accident in Lake Country had us delayed for the best part of an hour -traffic was a like a parking lot, and now the temperature was up to +32 – and the air conditioner in my van quit working a long time ago—— ( never bothered to get it fixed as I rarely go anywhere) – <\/p>\n\n\n\n
