Well – the weather in the Valley turned a bit wintery overnight – so Thursday saw us with a skiff of snow in the backyard – but that was not going to deter Kurt coming down from Sicamous to pick up a nice new TRS 300 – with the magical estart button. – Kurt bought a Beta from us a few years ago, so it was nice to chat about what he had been doing since he sold that because of injury. – As you can see by the pic – he was soon at home on the TRS.

The sport of Trials has seen a big increase in the ranks by the young ladies over the past few years, – The nine time World Ladies Champion Emma Bristow from England has encouraged a whole new aspect to the sport, including Canada, however I have to say that the old pic below of Jo Brindley tells it all – hair flying in the breeze as she jumps a log while “playing” the fact that it was taken with a cheap camera perhaps adds a lot. – Thanks Heath.

Quiz – Guess who this is?
Answer yesterday – ( no correct responses) The rider pushing the Montesa downstream – is none other than yours truly – It was in the National Trial at Bragg Creek – – an overnight snowfall created chaos, but with riders from all over Canada and the USA ( the rider helping push my Blackfoot MC Mont was from Montana) – The show had to go on – I pushed the bike through the last few sections in order to finish for our Team – but after that I was soon back on a Bultaco

Our comments about water sections – brought an email and pic from John Kitchener in the UK – the pic shows Stan last year, in one of the many fast flowing “Burns” at the Scottish Six Day Trial.
Planning on riding the Trial on Vancouver Island this weekend ? best be prepared for some snow – Here is organizer Rick Whiting checking things out.
