Quite a few of our readers who also click onto face book – will have noticed that we have recently shared a number of video clips of Welsh Choirs- As many will know the Welsh people are famous for their singing with Wales often referred to as ” The Land of Song”
The Welsh Male Voice Choirs have travelled all over the World and won top awards at most Musical events.
It is therefore not surprising that my younger years were spent singing in competitions and school choirs – then later it was quite normal to end a night of drinking at a local pub by gathering with other family and friends outside with renderings of all the old favorites like Calon Lan. – Often this was on a Sunday night outside a country pub called “The Horse-shoe” at Llaniblodwell- An old black & White place beside the River Tanat – It’s too bad we don’t have any recordings of these . -My Babsy used to sing with her sister at local dance halls – they were really good. The “Big Band days” – Ah yes ! Memories.
Below is a pic of Babsy and myself singing at a local Pub in Wales while on a visit back in 1995. We often sang together at various places while younger – including Japan in 1982 -that got us a lot of Japanese fans!!

Sad news from the ISDE in Argentina – as a Dutch rider has died after a crash – the event is being run in extreme high temperatures of 40 degrees and very difficult dusty conditions – Team Canada ladies is down to just one rider, but the men’s team are in 7th position after two days of competition.

The Milan Motorcycle Show is on this week – it’s a big event with all the top factories showing off their bikes – this is the Beta stand.
And to finish on a high note – the weather in the Valley looks good
for today – so I plan to go for a ride with Roy – Whoop – Whoop.
