Here is an interesting pic that just showed up on my files – the three young riders are Mike, Steve (my son) and Rob – I used to take them out practicing on the Yamaha IT 175’s back then – they are now all in their late ’50’s and only Mike still rides – ( He is my team mate/driver now on my Sunday rides) – Steve got blinded in one eye in a Cross Country race shortly after this pic was taken, – Rob doesn’t ride anymore, now married with a family.

Below is Michael Traves weekly report from the Maritimes.
Happy Trials Tuesday
WOW what a week !!!
Team Canada got in some great practice days at the Pascuet off road riding centre before arriving at the TdN. Everyone rode very well at the TdN without any major issues and from all reports had an amazing experience representing Canada. Huge thanks to everyone who has supported the team this year and we will be drawing for the Go Fund Me prizes in the near future.
Huge Congrats to the riders for a huge effort in training all season and putting in maximum effort on the day.
We did travel this year with the smallest team reasonable and extra credit goes to Christy as the overall team manager and Alex, Paul-Yvan, and Jean Felix (JF) for what was a very busy time supporting the team as minders and support staff. By comparison Team USA had a team of 14 people to support their 8 riders.
On a down note the Belanger’s had 2 suitcases and a backpack stolen just before leaving Spain… it just really sucks when things like that happen and I am sure the thief will not get anything for the Team Canada helmets, Trials boots, handlebars and heavy shocks they stole.
On the local front the Maritime Trials Riders we had a great Trial at the farm on Sunday event report can be seen at the MTR facebook page: Maritime Trials Riders Group | Facebook
Keep your feet on the pegs !

We have already started planning for the weekend at the Shuswap Trial – weather forecast is good and this will be a great opportunity for a last 2024 “Get-together” of all our regular Alberta and BC riders.
Julie has told us that everything is all set up with sections all cleared and taped, with the campground ready for Friday night. ( As you can see they have done a lot of work)
Don’t forget if you think you may need anything – Riding gear or parts – please try to let us know before Thursday night -We will be loading the Outlaw van on Friday.
