Answer to the last quiz – World champion MX star Jeff Smith – also a really good Trials rider winning a lot while working for BSA including the Scottish Six Day trial. – A brilliant engineer who also won many medals at the ISDT ( when it was called a Trial) – Later hired by Bombardier to develop the Can Am bikes. – Our usual bloggers all got this, including Peter from OZ.

We had a chat with Emily on Monday when she dropped off some parts for us, – about the Trial at Ioco – and of course about the weather, while this may have have caused the low number of riders, she mentioned the lack of many juniors at these events, and wondering how we can change this. – Obviously we have noticed this for some time, and not sure what the answer is – the CPTA do have a junior event to encourage the kids, – Usually Trials riding is a family sport, so often parents are the ones that encourage the youngsters to compete, but maybe we could use more You Tube type videos to show just what the sport is all about for the kids. – I remember that back in the 80’s, Barry and myself thought about approaching a local school, to show off the bikes and explain what Trial riding is. – But we never did.
I think back to one of the Yamaha slogans we had in the 70’s “Yamaha it’s a family affair” – maybe the best way to promote.

As most of our bloggers know, we have been selling Wulf stuff since 1995 and stock all the riding gear, plus boots and helmets – However Wulf also make some really nice jackets, casual as modeled by Big John Moffatt – or Trials and Enduro style – all made in Scotland and fantastic quality.
