ATTENTION – Website was down early today – now up and running again – Thanks to all our regular bloggers!!!

Answer to the last quiz – Bobby T on his Hodaka at the Summerland Outlaw Trial – Bob was and still is as far as we know, the only rider of a 125 bike to make it up the Shale climb clean – We always had this as the last section in the Trial, and I would zip up with a backpack full of beer to hide at the top, for when the riders finished – Adrian always tried to be first up!!! – Neil Carter was surprisingly the first correct (as he is from Ontario) followed by Brett, Bob, and Harlow..
Note! My plan this year is to tackle this on the TRS 125 at some point!!!!! – After all it’s a challenge. ( But I will get Mike to hike up first to check)

Quiz today – Who is the famous Road racer, who rode Trials in the winter months?

It appears that all our bloggers enjoyed the recent pictorials, of our Mountain adventures, and yes there is something quite magical about riding up in the Alpine – the trials bikes with the soft tires hardly make a track, plus of course they are all so quiet ( I’m not talking about the ebikes – you can keep them)
Below is a pic that Stan took of me on that last ride we did on my 75th birthday in 2012 – This was used in an article published in the UK Trials Magazine.
talking about Stan – Devra just sent us this pic of Stan riding a Rocky gulley down in Mexico – He said it took them a long time to clear out and make rideable for the old guys!! the TRs in the foreground belongs to Bruce Baker.

Here is one we have not seen before – A DKW Trials bike. – That’s a mighty long header pipe. – Hate that green frame.- Did you know that the BSA Bantam was a copy of an early DKW model?

So Yesterday I went to Kelowna on business on what was just a wonderful blue-sky day – It was quite cold, but after i came back home – I could not stop myself from doing a few laps around the yard on my estart TRS ( my excuse to Babsy, is that I need to keep the batteries – both the bike and me – Charged up)

Below is a pic of the front editorial for the Revvy National WTC Trial – As most people know – The WTC was a link to the WEC Enduro Operation run out of Ontario – This was very successful, but with the operators growing tired and then covid – they decided to shut it down, so that was also the end for our Trials. WTC.
