With all the turmoil going on in the World today, I feel sorry for the younger people. – I was only two years old when the Second World War broke out. – It’s sad that having lived through such terrible times, We now have a new generation of Dictators intent on destroying the World – Somebody once said “If people do not learn from the mistakes of the past – they will repeat them” – And as Winston Churchill said – “You cannot appease a Dictator”
Thank goodness we have motorcycles !!!

It’s hard to believe that the Scottish Six Day Trial is not far off – Did you know that the early events started in Edinburgh, and the first day was a very long ride to Fort William, but not all road work – I think it was 1973 when Mart Lampkin seized his Bultaco on that first day and was done. – The early events also included sidecars, but because this became a logistical nightmare for planning the routes – they were dropped.
The Scottish is a very unique Trial which requires a ton of workers to man the sections and controls – here is a time check from the 1950’s with a couple of Greeves riders getting their cards “Stamped”

Although we mainly keep this site all about Trials – It is nice to see Motorcycle enthusiasts doing other things – This is that Itchy Boots gal who has been globe trotting for a long time now – she appears to like the Yamaha.

In the weather forecast – We had snow yesterday – quite heavy at times, but it didn’t stick, – supposed to warm up for the weekend – I think there is a kids Trial planned for Ioco.
