Answer to the last quiz – Nigel Birkett on a 125 Fantic in the Scott Trial – he was heard to say that it “Went like a 250! “- – We forgot to mention yesterday in our report of our ride on the TRS 125 – we special ordered this bike and intended keeping it – but then somebody wanted to buy it. – now the new owner says he put over 300 hours on that bike !! and the motor has never been touched!!! pretty impressive because I also put a few hours on it as well. – of course he always ran Opti 2 premix – so that would explain it !!! Definitely a keeper for us now.
Quiz today. – Name this place pic taken in 1908.

I had to laugh when I saw this.

Peter from OZ sent us this pic of a young rider “Resting” on the Scottish Moors !! – reminded me of a time I took a wrong line up on the Welsh Moors one day while out riding by myself!! – ended up walking a couple of miles to a farm, and getting the kind farmer to come out with his carthorse to pull my bike out of a big bog. – – I did learn a lesson from this and became quite good at riding Canadian Muskeg in later years.

Seems our lad Craig Parfitt – has found another business !!!

Update! Just saw this post by Heath Brindley – pretty much tells it as it is and the reason we have lost interest in World Trials.

A good read …
The FIM appear to want to make trials extreme enduro !! It’s not a race ffs and part of the skill is coming back from a shaky first lap and climbing back up the results.
Section timing makes it like and enduro to watch, and too many man made sections is just making it an indoor trial but outdoors!
Should be restricted to a maximum of two “arena” style sections. The rest should be all natural terrain … and making the time limit too tight per section not only means racing around but also more chance of injury to not only riders but also spectators …
As for the super sections? .. feck off !
