Answer to the last quiz – Sammy Miller at the 1957 TT in the Isle of Man -back then they used the shorter Clypse Circuit and a mass start. -for the lightweight races.- Sammy was leading this race until his bike seized on the very last corner called Governors Bridge – he pushed in to finish 5th – this was also the end of the fully faired front wheels on the bikes as they were banned by the FIM. – Both Brett and Harlow guessed it was Sammy. ( I was in the IOM for that week) But Pete Varey also knew it..

Quiz today – Who is this? and what was he famous for?

I saw this posted and thought about good old Tony Down (rip) – Many will remember him from the time he came to the Outlaw in Summerland with a 40ft trailer and some English bikes. – He was an interesting chap, having flown Tornado Jet fighters in the RAF, before he emigrated to the States. – He died of Cancer a few years ago.
