Answer to the last quiz – David Cobos with Josef Paxau and the NEW Bultaco, brought out in 1999. – Brett, Bob, Harlow and Peter Varey all got it – Stan thought it might be David Knight!!
We had the first of those bikes in Canada – picked it up in January from Don Clark at the Vancouver bike show – then was out at East Kelowna with Barry, test riding it in the snow. As with most new models, we like to check them out before they get out onto the market. – Graeme Jarvis won the Scottish Six Day Trial that year on the new bike, which didn’t hurt sales!! – Also the one below shows me trying a brand new section at Greenstone Mountain – 3rd gear trying to miss some of the big holes and boulders – waving a leg like I knew what I was doing – but I did make it to the top ok- I’m being watched by Krash Crumly .
We eventually sold that to a customer from Wetaskiwin. AB.

Yesterday, I made a trip to Kelowna to drop off some Opti Snowmobile oil, and chatted to our old friend Paul Throssell – He is one of our unsung hero’s who has been doing all the printing for the Trials events in the Valley for decades ( all at rock bottom price or free) – We chatted about some of the bikes he has had, (some bought from us) and he showed me pictures he has kept, but he doesn’t have this one of a day out at Bear Creek practicing on the Beta we sold him. – What a great day that was. – Paul was a good rider, too bad he doesn’t have a bike anymore.

I think there might be a Trial on at the VMC Club grounds in Victoria tomorrow, I know Roger sent me a poster, but I seem to have lost it. – not that anybody from our Valley is likely to be driving out with the pass now in a very much winter mode. – Plus Katie is still on the injured list.
