A bit of a different pic to begin our blog today – this is because yesterday, Babsy and myself were treated to attend a concert in Vernon along with our daughter Helen and son in law Grant. – It was called “A Rocky Mountain Christmas” – with the wonderful John Denver songs performed by a group from Toronto with local performers also involved.
As many of you know, I have always had a love for the high Alpine and this pic from an early climb up Joss Mountain was one of the best days I can recall. ( Taff took the pic) – This along with the times we sang all the John Denver songs around the campfire – Yes truly wonderful times.

The quiz yesterday was Andreu Codina with a very young future champs – Joan Pons and Marc Colomer. – yes a few of our regular bloggers got it – but Patrick Morrow, emailing from Japan, thought it was Pedro Pi with son Ot and Cesar Canas – good guess Pat and thanks for clicking on.
Quiz today – Who are these guys?

Although most of the Trials pics we seem to see these days, show World Class riders flying through the air, we always managed to take points off some of the best, by simply plotting a camber section in our Trials – especially if it was greasy and wet. here is one of the best showing how – it’s Debbie Evans from the USA, who was married to the late Lane Leavitt

As some of you may recall, most of my early competition days riding in the UK were on “James” machines, but glad to say they were a bit better than this 1949 James Comet – recently listed for sale in Saskatchewan. ( Thanks Walter for sending this)
