Answer to the last quiz – Jeff Smith and Dave Bickers – correct answers from Harlow. – quite an easy one for our older “Bloggers”
And here is a shot you don’t see these days – 173 riders on the line waiting for the shotgun start at the 1976 Moose Mountain Cross Country – yes World Champion Jeff Smith was one of them – the small arrow points to my Yamaha IT 400. – The only time I was on the line with a World Champion!!! – And as I have told the story, by following Jeff, I was able to grab a good finish after 200 miles.
The Calgary Club used to have some neat Trophies at Moose Mountain – here are a couple.

With snow today in the Valley it looks like winter is here – but still a lot of riding to be done for younger ( perhaps braver) riders. – I know we have done a lot of this, both in Alberta and BC and it can be a lot of fun, plus a great teaching curve for throttle control!! – Also something to remember – the Opti 2 Mix has a built in fuel stabilizer, so no worries when you store the bike.
Here is one from a day at Bear creek which as you can see by my expression was a real “Hoot” – those are both Evo 200’s – pulling 4th just about everywhere.
