Answer to the last quiz – our buddy from Victoria Harold (Turk) Perepalkin – – Brett got it. As did Roger Boothroyd – Turk has been a Victoria club member for decades, and ridden everything from old style scrambles, trials -and perhaps his favorite ISDT events. – He told us that the 125 IT he is on in the pic, was a favorite but these days, he rides an Outlaw supplied TRS Xtrack. While we can only see a dusting of snow on the hills the other side of the Ok Valley – it seems the UK are getting hit with all sorts of weather, first really bad floods in Wales and now snow in Yorkshire.

Roger from Victoria emailed to say he remembered the steep slick downhill that I mentioned in my last story about the 1975 FIM Trial – he rode that along with others from the West Coast – and yes they enjoyed the slide down the slippery slope!! – As mentioned we had a lot of Canadian riders in that very first Canadian World round – many like Roger only decided to enter last minute after making the trip to Alberta to watch the event. ( if you scroll back you will find a list of all the finishers)
It really was too bad the Alberta weather did not co-operate as the scenery we showed on that very long loop was spectacular.
