Answer to the last quiz – The famous F1 driver pictured on the Bultaco, was none other that Graham Hill – You may not know but he was also in the movie Grand Prix – A much better Driver than an actor. – He was tragically killed while flying his own airplane, crashed in bad weather. – his son Damon Hill also went on to become a Formula One Champion. – Harlow and Brett got it as did Bob Clark.

Quiz today – Who? Where? and when? Hint – another of my photographs.

=======================================

As we had a “Snow day” Sunday, I decided to sort through some of the zillion photographs I have taken over the years. – quite interesting from a time we used a Pentax 35mm film camera.

Below a pic from the Vancouver Bike show

Here we have some results from the BAC Trial put on by Lewisport in the States – A great event with old fashioned sections and a long loop – as you can see Harry the ringer won his class !!!! They had planned for a three day event, but cancelled the 3rd day, when they had a big storm roll through with the creek flooding big time – – ( Almost like Scotland)

Below is a pic I took of the JCM Team at the 1989 Scottish – they had a really good set up, this one had a large tank seat fitted for Scotland and after chatting to the sales rep, we agreed to import the new models to Canada, however we only managed to get the one, before they shut down the factory. ( Yes Stan rode that bike )

This was the year when Jordi arrived with the all new Beta Zero Prototype but it only lasted one day – the weather was terrible and the moors a mess plus some of the creeks flooded big time – in fact the JCM you see in the pic was actually washed downstream at one point at a river crossing.

Here is a pic I couldn’t find while doing the blog on Bultaco – It shows me being the first to tackle this very “Scottish” style section at greenstone Mountain -on the 1999 NEW Bultaco – that uphill stream was full of big holes and rocks which you could not see with the rushing stream of water, but in spite of waving my leg around – I think, I made it up without dabbing!! – That is Krash Crumly watching -it was Krash that showed me this great location and the pic was taken by Steve the Vet from Kelowna. – You had to hit it quite fast and I think I used 3rd gear.
