Answer to the last quiz #1 was Roger De Coster a former Trial champ in Belgium but more famous as a Moto Cross star and manager of teams such as Suzuki, Honda and KTM. – Bob Clark and Harlow got it, as did Walter Cukavac – who noted Roger always used his Trials skills with body positioning.
Quiz #2 – was the famous Scottish Section “Town Hall Brae” situated in Ft William and always the last section, put in for the spectators.
Again Harlow and Brett were soon clicking on that.
Quiz today – Guess who?

We saw this post by Todo Trial.

There was a time when the trial areas were full of people. Where every stone had an audience above, every step was lived in silence… and every mistake was felt all over the hill.
Pilots weren’t just competing: they were idols.
Superstars able to stop time in a zone.
Everything is calmer today… more technical… emptier.
Where did all that excitement go?
Where did that noise, that pressure, that magic go?

And here is a post from Don Smith’s book from many years ago – just to put it all in perspective – If you are new to the sport or considering getting into it – We suggest you read this!! Plus perhaps chat to other Trials riders and Trials dealers. – Maybe get out to a local Trial to spectate and learn what it’s all about. -Remember, forget all the hopping and bopping you may have seen on You Tube – all very clever but that is not the way normal club Trials are set up. – – best leave those tricks to the young Experts. – It’s all about having fun.

Hard to believe that the 2026 Scottish Six Day Trial is now only a few weeks away – three Cannuck’s are entered so we wish them luck – plus we see Carlos Casas -the Spanish banker and the main man for getting so many Spaniards to this event over the years, will be Sherco mounted this year after Vertigo and Montesa. – He mentions that the new estart on the Sherco was an incentive. ( Of course TRS got this on their bikes first )

The Narimata Trial is only a week away and promises to be another great event – fantastic area with nice natural sections for all classes. check with Rob if you have any questions. ( we do have a few spark arrestors for either Beta or TRS but not many)

The Outlaw van will be there on Sunday with the all new 2026 Beta Sincro plus other great deals. Katie will have the Beta Tent set up – and can answer any questions you might have on the bikes.
