Answer to the last quiz – Scottish Six Day Trial is restricted to 280 riders because they start each day at 1 minute intervals and that is the most riders that are able to complete the long loops each day – all 100 miles plus.
The Trial started originally at the market place in Edinburgh the riders rode approx 115 miles that first day on the road and also across Rannoch moor. to Fort William. – Brett Clark was the only correct response. – In 1973 Martin Lampkin seized up the factory 325 Bultaco by overdoing it on the road and was done first day.
Funny to say that I had never been to Scotland – until I went back from Canada – did it in 1972-1989 -1993. – Wonderful memories.
Quiz today. Who is this rider – great at trials and scrambles. – sadly killed in a traffic accident while competing in a Trial – he was run over by a car while waiting at the roadside to enter a section in south Wales.
