We had a really nice visit with Todd Nordin yesterday, it’s been quite a few years since we last saw him – his lad Tanner was at the Outlaw Trial last weekend, and I got him to give his Dad a reminder to stop by. – Todd has just got himself another Trials bike after quite a spell – ( courtesy Tanner ) – what a nice surprise for him, so we hope to get out for a “Putt” sometime. – We chatted about the history of the Outlaw event – of a time when Todd won both the vintage and the next day modern.- But we also chatted about the way the sport has changed, with most Trials held on short courses, with usually a lot of man-made obstacles. – my view is that obviously, I would like to see the long loop English style events, still being held. But I also understand that we have to move with the times and make the best of what we have – especially when it comes to having people to set events up. – the Ross Rathbone event last weekend was a perfect example of putting on a first class trials weekend, at a limited area with man-made sections. The bottom line is that we think everybody enjoyed it and will be back next year, for the 41st OUTLAW.

The Outlaw Trial was not the only big event happening at the Rathbone Property last weekend – they had this cute foal born just hours before everybody arrived for the Trial.
