We saw this very sad news on FB yesterday about our great friend Ron Perrott – We got to know Ron and his family back in 1973 when I first joined Yamaha Canada. – Over the years we shared some wonderful times on my regular visits and also on trips including a memorable one to Japan. – I remember we used to write up his booking orders sat around the kitchen table usually with Ron pouring us liberal amounts of rum!! – I stayed with Ron & Alice quite a few times, and continued to call on him after leaving Yamaha and starting Outlaw Accessories. – Sadly we lost touch when I quit travelling, but was so pleased when he phoned to congratulate me on being inducted into the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame.

What a giant he was in the Motorcycle Industry. – RIP buddy

An interesting post seen on FB >>> – We have often preached this gospel.

ITALY IS A COUNTRY SUBSTANTLY MADE OF MOUNTAINS!

WITH A FEW PLAINS!

What is the point in banning the use of a trial motorbike on trails and in mulattoes.

The trial bike is mountain-compatible and eco-compatible, does not dig, goes slowly, goes at very low speed, consumes very little.

The mountains are our Italian territory and we should have the freedom to be able to use it, certainly with rules and education above all starting from children and young people.

The mountain that houses are not used in abandoned state and this is visible to everyone.

Also recently added bikes to the enduro bikes which unfortunately dig up both of our beautiful trails, especially dirt.

Regulating the mountain trial bike would avoid the damage caused by those who cannot use anything use enduro bikes or downhill bikes thinking that they are mountain-compatible.

It would be nice if the Federations were far-sighted and adopted a well-made regulation that allows the use of trial motorcycles in our many mountains.

And to prove a point

The above pic of me on a Beta Rev 3 was taken by Jimmy Corkle – who made the ascent with us one year up Joss Mountain.
