This young Brit Jamie Keith- just won the 125 class at the MXN – did you know that Yamilube is made by Esso ? and it was me that got the Yamilube stickers on all the Canadian race bikes? – Of course back then we had not heard of Optimol even though it had been around since 1920.
Below is a pic of Mick promoting Duckhams oil – it used be popular in the UK and we even had it in Canada for a while. – I remember using it in my Bultaco in the 70’s

This coming Saturday is the Famous Scott Time Trial in Yorkshire – this has only been won 4times by two riders Sammy Miller and Graham Jarvis – Will another name join this record in 2024?
Many years ago I rode two tough – different Time Trials in the UK – the Lecruddy Struggle in Wales where I got a 2nd class award – then the Picton Time Trial (won by World Champ Geoff Duke) where I was on a team that finished 3rd but no idea where I was in the results.
Later I started the Scott Trial in Alberta in 1972 – I was lucky enough to win this twice – in 1974 then 1976. –

A nice shot I got of Sammy at a Victoria Club Trial a few years ago when we sponsored him on Beta and Wulf gear etc. The club house in the background later burned down.

We are posting this pic because it shows our two favorite bikes – The TRS with estart and the Beta Evo 200 – easy to start and easy to ride and therefore easy to enjoy. – The TRS on display has the Xtrack kit fitted with larger fuel tank and seat – all easily removed in about 15-20 minutes to be replaced with the stock tank – it’s 2 bikes in “1”
