I wonder how many riders remember when safety helmets became mandatory for Trials ??? – Well because the helmets back then were quite heavy and hot – Mick decided to wear a Horsey model !! but the style didn’t catch on!! He is also wearing a one piece riding suit, an early design which proved to be really hot and caused you to sweat big time – I know because Mick gave me one of his !! I was obviously pleased about that – but not for long!! – Naturally he didn’t mention why he had given up on the design.
