==========================================

Well, yesterday was a stellar day for sure – our first ride of the year, with our buddy Mike – bright sunshine and perfect conditions. – we took our Beta Evo 200 to celebrate as this bike works perfect for early season, ( or any other time) with some snow and mud in the hills. I came home tired, but still smiling !! -Note ! We can supply a 2024 Evo 200 brand new at a huge $2000 saving – but the one we have is not for sale – we like it that much. –

Also took some neat Go Pro footage and saw a bunch of White-tail deer. Mike was on his Factory Beta and we did not see a soul while we enjoyed our day out. Roy is still recuperating from his cataract surgery, so did not join us, but we had a good chat around the woodstove in his shop when we returned – catching up on news after the winter lay-off. – As usual Mike’s good lady had made us coffee and sandwiches , which really “Hit the spot”

Looking through old files – came across this from many years ago at Stony Plain Alberta – It was a round of the Outlaw series, when we had Vintage on the Saturday and modern on the Sunday – Taff is on one of my Ossa twin shocks while I’m on the neat TY 175 – As you will see, I’m wearing my old Ellgren Jersey – very popular gear back in the day. – We had some great Trials at this location.

Finally – Not Trials – but what a bike !! Stevie Baker’s 4 cylinder Flat tracker – built by Bob Work at Yamaha Canada – I have mentioned before that one day I saw this in the race shop in Richmond and as there was nobody around – I sat on it and just closed my eyes!!! — – ( Note it wasn’t this particular bike although it has Stevie’s number 32 on it – the Yamaha Canada bike was red.

As Malcolm Smith would say – “NEAT”
