Answer to the last quiz – It was in 1953 that Sammy Miller rode his homebuilt Trials bike with a 197cc Villiers engine from Belfast Ireland to Scotland to compete in the Scottish Six Day trial – with only a bag on his back for his clothes. – Sammy completed the event, then rode the bike back home. – Now perhaps you can appreciate why they call him “Super-Sammy” – a truly amazing accomplishment that I doubt few have ever done- maybe nobody.
Not surprisingly – a few of our well informed bloggers got this answer – Pete Varey, Neil Carter, Brett and Harlow.
Quiz today – What is this engine and what bike?
