We had a nice drop of rain yesterday hopefully that will help the fire situation !! – For me it was a visit to the “Tooth Fairy” – which went well, but it will be a couple of weeks before you can call me “Smiley”

The rest of my day was spent sorting stuff to take to the dump a good day for it, except a lot of other people had the same idea!!

This weekend there is a Trial in Ontario, so we will look for some news on that – Our buddy Jamie McGregor told us he has his #99 Gold TRS for sale for a very reasonable $6grand as his new one is expected pretty quick – call me for details if you are interested. ( We don’t need to tell Hockey fans why #99 is pretty special)

We have often said that if “A bike looks right” -well it probably is right – but isn’t it funny how some models over the years have fallen down on this aspect – like the seat on this Vincent HRD !!
We always thought the BSA Goldstar in Clubman’s trim was one of the best looking street bikes – how about this display? I never did ride one in this form only in Trials trim. – They did have a problem with a too small oil pump delivery, which caused some stockers to seize up ( one of our local club riders was killed in the Isle of man due to this) In later years the Yamaha TT 500 also had this issue – yes I told the Japanese, about the BSA.

Last night I clicked on You Tube and as I do sometimes took in the interview and comments from American prof. Jeffrey Sachs – he talks about World Politics and the involvement of the USA – believe me he is worth listening to – not only does he recount the history as to the near Nuclear war of 1961, narrowly avoided by the brilliant mind of John F Kennedy, who by-passed the controlling war mongers of the senate to deliver the speech to Kruschov that averted the Cuban crisis. – But he goes a lot deeper than that with regard to the American lack of diplomacy and how Russia have been pushed into a corner by NATO backed American Presidents and the CIA – Click on you may find it both enlightening and frightening.
