Well it seems that young Harry Hemingway got 2nd overall in the grueling 2023 Scott Trial in Yorkshire – The young Beta rider was first listed in 4th – but a recount moved him up to 2nd ., dropping Billy Green down to 3rd – not that Billy will be sad at this placing, as his Scorpa ran out of gas just a long push from the finish.

This reminded me of a similar experience by Sammy Miller back in 1957 at the TT – Sammy was leading the 250 Lightweight race going into the last bend at Govner’s Bridge on the very last lap, when the tranny seized – making for a long push down to the finish line.

Of course Motorcycle sport is all about winners and losers – who remembers the famous TV intro to Wide World of Sports ? “The Thrill of Victory and the agony of defeat”

We are slowly getting used to our new CP and the completely new Blog set up – please bear with us as we will get better.

Thanks to the people who have already posted – the reply section on the blog is new and will be monitored for posting.

This is TRS rider Kaytlyn Adshead – who finished the Scott while other Lady and world champ Emma Bristow also finished but struggled with mechanical issues on the day.

This is a shot from Saturday taking a rest stop at a favorite lookout on the West side – you can see Sugar loaf Mountain from here.

We are still waiting to hear how the Ioco Trial went on Sunday we hope everybody is taking these wonderful Fall days to get out on the bike – especially into the woods – as I reported earlier we had a spectacular day on Saturday.
