The reason we posted this pic is twofold – first it’s a really neat Vintage bike – but also it shows the TRS tape marking the section – What we have noticed in a lot of videos recently – especially club Trials – is that if the section is just set up with different color markers and gates for the various classes – a lot of riders, especially newbies, spend most of their time trying to figure out which way they are supposed to go while riding !! ( Yes we know all about “Walking” the section) – in other words it is all very confusing. That is why we have always used red/pink tape on the right and blue on the left and yes because we now have so many classes – different color arrows.
Yes we also know that it’s more work and more expense – BUT if this means riders have a better day and want to come back – surely it’s worth it. –
I remember the first time I took some new guys from the Okanagan to a trial at Ioco – I told them – “Walk all the section – including the top of that rock wall ” of course they didn’t and the crafty course layout guy had placed a rock with a red tape on it just over the top – just to catch riders out !! Now I don’t like this tactic one bit as a rider who thinks he is on a clean ride suddenly finds he has a “5” – In my opinion this does nothing for the sport – On the same theme local riders are always at an advantage if the Trial is held on a club ground. –

I came across the Pre-Entry list for that first ever Canadian World Round we put on back in 1975 – Check out the number of Canadian riders entered – plus there were at least ten more on the day
Yes take a look – because you will never see that again !!!

I know I don’t look much like Santa – Terry Bainbridge took this pic some time ago while we were chatting in the shop – what you can’t see is all the Wulf gear and other stuff we have in the “Santa Cave” all at the usual super affordable pricing – there is also a brand new Beta Evo 200 hiding around the corner – but you had better be nice if you want Santa to bring that to you for Christmas.
