We hope that all our readers had an enjoyable New Year’s Eve – we are sorry that our emails are not going through – We certainly wish everyone a great year ahead in whatever you do. – In our small Trials pond we will do our best to keep everybody both informed and supplied with things they need ( yes we do have bikes and everything else)
As we look ahead we notice that many people are posting of a lack of interest in World Trials – and yes this includes us. – Obviously not a good sign. – Time for a “Wake up” call.
Fortunately, the “Old school” who remember the great times of yesteryear – might be able to work something out to benefit the sport in the future. The greatest Trial in the World the Scottish Six Days – is again oversubscribed and a ballot will be needed to sort out the limit of 380 riders allowed.
The answer to the last quiz was Mick Andrews on an Ariel at the 1992 Pre 65 Trial that he won for another time. – We did get a couple of correct answers – yes Brett and Harlow – !! – Readers who tune into the Trials Guru site can read much more about Mick
Quiz today – Name this rider

Although we don’t have any snow at the moment – I’m sure this won’t last long – and a reminder that Ross Rathbone has that fantastic indoor practice area up in the Shuswap – just phone ahead if you would like to head up there for some practice.
Plus of course the lack of snow means Vancouver and IOCO are possible locations to get some winter action.

We just saw this very sad news posted about another old friend.- Bucky Johnson -rode a lot of Trials and Cross Country events back in our Alberta days.
On December 29, Bucky Johnson passed away very suddenly. Wanting to let everyone know as he had requested no services. He leaves behind his wife Wendy, sons Jeff (Veronica), Craig (Patricia) as well as sisters LaVonne, Gloria, Lisa and brother Les. Bucky worked as an equipment operator for A.G. Appel in Kelowna for over 30 years until retiring at the age of 71. Hoist a cold one for Buck! He would have loved that.
