Saturday April 20th/24

Yesterday we delivered Ross Rathbone his new 2024 Beta Factory 300 – this is the 18th Beta he has bought from us !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As most people know Ross has been hosting the Outlaw Trial for many years, and has built a wonderful Trials area at his Magna Bay location. We would like to thank Ross for not only being a loyal Beta customer, but for all his efforts in promoting the sport.

====================================

While there at his Magna Bay location, we chatted about the upcoming Outlaw Trial, which goes on the May Long weekend, once again it will be a two day Saturday/Sunday event.

Watch for more info coming up>>>>>>

======================================

While still on the Beta theme – here is another great Neil Sturgeon pic of Rob Waite winning the Darlington club Trial last Sunday .

Below is a great shot of Pat Smage at the NATC Championship Trial last weekend, where he finished a close 2nd both days, to UK rider Toby Martyn. – In a report – Pat mentioned that Montesa brought a World class rider in to win the US National Series – something that obviously rubs him and others the wrong way. – We can understand this, and have to agree that a National Titles should only be for riders who reside in that Country.

Tomorrow is the Team Squid/Outlaw Trial at IOCO – which we have sponsored for many years, – we hope everybody has a good day. and the weather stays fine. – Sorry I can’t be there.

Quiz today – Name the rider

  1. Hmmm, Pat’s opinion on Toby coming over is interesting –
    He didn’t seem to mind when Montesa brought Marc C over a few years ago, who beat him at least once.
    He hasn’t had much you could call serious competition for years.
    Both days in AZ were very close, which says a lot for Pat’s skill level and Toby’s injury recovery.
    Banning out of country riders in various National level events would keep young riders like Ryon L from being able to compete, learn and ride Spanish National events. Many younger riders have benefitted from it, especially in Europe.
    Instead of controlling who can compete, how about true enforcement of non stop rules? We, as a sport, need more competition not less, and a rule change or three in order for gen pop dirt riders to think maybe this is something to try – instead of
    ‘I couldn’t see myself trying any of that’
