So it’s day #3 at the Scottish and quite the battle for top honors. – Dan Peace has the yellow number plate on today, but he is being closely pressed by his brother Jack and Jack Price. – Dougie Lampkin is next, with Harry Hemingway nipping at his heels.

Below this is Jamie Meggitt from the IOM tackling the fearsome step of Witch’s burn -This is much steeper than it looks -Neil Sturgeon pic

Alicia Robinson had an amazing ride on this section. ( Thanks to the photographer for this neat shot)

Below is Jon English in the Parade looking a bit pensive! – Maybe a worry knowing what he has let himself in for.

Here is American rider Bryce Pophal checking out the Scottish bogs

A good Neil Sturgeon shot of Harry Hemmingway on Tuesday he is going well so far and is on the leader board. – Harry is on a Beta Evo 125 Factory.

And this is Harry’s Uncle Ben trying very hard on one of Tuesday’s difficult sections – Ben always rides a Beta in Scotland.

Last night I watched more video from the Scottish – we are lucky to have more people filming, much easier now with modern technology. – – The Irish lads Team Hanlon seem to be having lots of fun, and I also watched a very good one by Trials Mania – this showed one particular tricky section that followed all the top riders through plus the regular clubmen – it featured a rocky creek bed with one nasty step at an angle followed by a sharp turn – this caught out both the top ladies Emma Bristow and Laia Sanz for a dab – I thought the smoothest through here was Jack Price, no hopping & bopping just picked the perfect line and speed. – Dougie looked good as well, as did young Galloway.

It’s difficult for anybody watching these videos, that has not been to Scotland, to appreciate just how challenging it all is, and of course the camera tends to “flatten” things out. – One small clip I watched was at the start on the first day – riders have to start their bikes when given the order to go by the official – while most started OK , some didn’t ( think these were the new fuel injected models) – but the neatest of all was Craig Talbot of BVM – who just pressed the button on the TRS – “Bingo”

I always say to Trials enthusiasts, if you have never been to watch or compete in the Scottish Six Days, it’s something to put on your bucket list. – You won’t believe it. – Yes they ride 100 MILES per day plus about 30 sections.
