Answer to the Sunday Quiz – Peter Stirland on the Factory Royal Enfield – Neil Carter and Peter from OZ got it correct.
Quiz today Who is this rider?

Looking out front at 8am – it got a lot “Whiter” as the day went on.

Well the Sunday weather was certainly a reminder that old man winter is not leaving without a final wallop!! – I do recall that nothing is a given for any month -Especially, if you live in Alberta !! —– I remember driving out to Calgary for a Trial many years ago on April 23rd – stayed with Siggi Pechout and it snowed over two feet overnight – Yes ! the trial was cancelled!! –
The snow didn’t quit in Vernon on Sunday until after 2pm – by which time I was watching the golf!! – Of course I have related before on the blog, how we had the snow for that first Canadian Championship we put on at Bragg Creek in 1971.
It is also not unheard of to have snow in Scotland in May – as some of our Cannuck’s might remember.
Below is another snow day – this time on one of our Joss rides – that is Bob Clark on the right and one of the Gronow lads – Yes we have had both good and bad days up in the Mountains – the motto is like the boy scouts “Always be Prepared”

Of course riding in the snow while not the best – is good practice for if and when you do run into bad weather during competition – the bikes that work best are the ones with lots of torque and you can pull a high gear. – Yes the Beta is hard to beat in those conditions.

I see that the Ferrari Team got disqualified after finishing 1-2 in China !!! What a F/U – I’m sure Lewis Hamilton was not a Happy Chappy – after winning his first race for the new team.

Meanwhile I got a report that the Trial held in my old Welsh Stomping Grounds went over very well with over 60 riders.- Good to see the old Oswestry club still going strong.

In case you haven’t noticed – We don’t post much about World Trials on the blog – as we feel these events are more of a Circus act.

Nice to see our UK contact Heath Brindley getting out to a Trial after a long time off the bike with knee surgery – he is pictured with his long suffering buddy Francisco who takes all his insults in good fun – they both rode the old bikes – Heath on his much modified Beta TR 34 and Francisco on the Fantic.

I think he has an Outlaw sticker on that bike somewhere and he also has an Outlaw Toolbelt. ( We no longer make these)
