A reminder that pictures like this can happen very quickly – this was Bear Creek a couple of years ago – and that is why the Naramata trial guys are requiring spark arrestors on all the bikes. – we have them for TRS and Beta – and we have heard that Cascade Don has them for Gassers. – the message is clear – don’t leave ordering until last minute. ( Our new units use a much wider mesh to resist ‘plugging’)
Although we know it is extremely unlikely that a Motorcycle would cause a fire ( unless the bike was parked in long dry grass with a hot engine) – The Bear Creek Fire was caused by a homeless person. – If you wish to find out more about the requirements for Naramata, we suggest you contact the organizers.

We don’t know who this rider is – but it occurred to me that this is like “Taking a knife – to a gunfight” – I know Mick Andrews rode one of these in the Pre 65 Scottish one year – but didn’t finish – I have to think he must have only entered this on a “Bet” ( Neat bike though)

We posted this to show how we used to “Waterproof” the carbs on our bikes back in the 50’s – We used a large rubber inner tube from a truck – cut a small hole for the carb intake, then held the “shrouds” in place with rubber bands – yes this worked perfectly. – You can also see the “rubber -torsion” front suspension on the Greeves, and the small “decompressor” lever ( we have no idea who this rider is)
